Carol Chase Bjerke – is an award-winning artist who works with photography, book arts, collage, and installation. Her art has been widely exhibited, and is in numerous private and public collections including the Kohler Art Library at UW-Madison, the Special Collections in the Golda Meir Library at UW-Milwaukee, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts Library and Research Center in Washington, DC. She holds an MFA from Central Michigan University. She believes that art is intertwined with life’s experiences and is a powerful tool for self-expression, communication, healing, and change. Her extensive Art and Healing series documents her experience with colorectal cancer and treatment.
